Work of electro-acoustic music, organized in episodes, tending towards a "theatre of sounds"‚ into which voice "attitudes" (phonemes, breathing, laughter, whispers) and unconventional instrumental timbres, disintegrate, transform, are interwoven and interact to each other. The music material has been drawn from recorded phonetic actions - voice improvisations by Efi Xirou- and sound samples from prepared guitar and percussion. One of the basic techniques of digital signal processing in this case, involves the use of various filters, time stretching, pitch shifting, delay, reverse, freezing. Georgia Spiropoulos |
